Aamir and Sunny to clash Again !


Yes, Sunny Deol and Aamir Khan will clash for the fourth time. Discussions on GADAR-EK PREM KATHA and LAGAAN are already on in full swing and now comes the news that the two actors will clash again this August. Sunny’s INDIAN and Aamir’s DIL CHAHTA HAIN will be released on the same date ­ August 10. Again, both the films are diametrically opposite in terms of content. Kareena Is Heroine No. 1 ?


With MUJHE KUCCH KEHNA HAI hitting the bull’s eye, Vashu Bhagnani is all set to start a film with Kareena Kapoor enacting the title role. It is said that the film, in all likelihood, will be titled HEROINE NO. 1. “It’s true that I have signed Kareena for my new film, but it’s not titled HEROINE NO. 1. For that matter, I haven’t thought of a suitable title for the film,” Vashu reveals. The director and her co-star are still to be finalised. Top


Why Did Gadar Stick To June 15th ?


Everyone knows of the clash between GADAR-EK PREM KATHA and LAGAAN. But not many are aware that Sunny Deol had set a pre-condition that he would dub for the film before anyone else does, only if the film releases on June 15. “Sunny told me specifically and even took an assurance from us that we will release the film on June 15, since he wants to release his home-production, INDIAN, on August 15 and therefore, wants an 8-week gap between the two films,” GADAR producer Nitin Keni reveals. In fact, Sunny called up Keni a couple of times even after he had dubbed for the film, reminding him to stick to the release date and not postpone it for any reason. So when Jhamu Sughand, the presenter of LAGAAN, approached Keni to avoid the clash, Keni expressed his inability since he had given his word to Deol. Top


Now Amitabh-Abhishek To Clash !


This seems like a season of clashes! After GADAR and LAGAAN last week, the industry is bound to witness a few more clashes in the weeks to come. July 6 will witness the clash of two music companies. Venus’ HUM HO GAYE AAP KE and T-Series’ TUM BIN will be released on the same day. Actually, TUM BIN was scheduled for release on July 13, but with AKS getting postponed from July 6 to 13, T-Series decided to pre-pone the release by one week. Incidentally, two of Abhishek Bachchan starrers are scheduled to clash on July 13 ­ SHARARAT and BAS ITNA SA KHWAAB HAI. There is speculation that one of them will be postponed by a week or two. But in any case, July 13 will witness the father (Amitabh) coming face to face with the son (Abhishek) at the ticket window. Top


Rakesh Roshan's next venture with Hrithik and Preity


It’s official now! Rakesh Roshan has teamed Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta in his next project, titled KOI MIL GAYA, again beginning with the alphabet ‘K’. This was announced by the actor-filmmaker while accepting the best director award at the recently concluded I.I.F.A. Awards, held at Sun City. However, just last week, there was speculation that the maker was contemplating signing Hrithik’s Coke co-star Aishwarya Rai. But with Preity stepping in the project, all speculation has been put to rest.


Celina to star in Sunil-Jadeja project

Filmmakers in Bollywood are lapping up yet another beauty queen ­ Celina Jaitley. We were the first to break the news that Mukesh Bhatt has signed her for his new venture, KALYUG, being directed by Vikram Bhatt. The latest development is that producer Pammi Sandhu has signed Celina for his next venture, which stars Sunil Shetty and Ajay Jadeja in the lead. The film is a love triangle and Celina is the only lady in it. “It’s true that I have signed Celina for this project, which will go on the floors in August,” confirms Pammi. Welcome aboard Celina! Shahrukh Watches Lagaan

It’s a known fact that every actor in the industry is keen to watch LAGAAN. More so because the film has achieved commercial success as well as critical acclaim. The latest is, a special screening of the film was organised for Shah Rukh Khan and his family on Monday, June 25 at Adlabs. Aamir was not present at the show, since he was in Delhi “visiting theatres,” director Ashutosh Gowariker, who was viewing the film with SRK, revealed. Incidentally, M.F.
